Artist Profile
Following her move to the United States in 1983, she transferred to MOON RECORDS, marking a pivotal shift in her musical style toward a more sophisticated and urban sound. Working with producer John Stanley, she recorded extensively in Los Angeles. Her acclaimed albums from this era, such as COMMUNICATION and YAGAMANIA, showcased cutting-edge synth-pop and authentic AOR, leading to her modern-day re-evaluation as a key figure in the City Pop movement.
Currently based in both Japan and the U.S., she continues to captivate audiences with her undiminished high-tone vocals and world-class musicality.

City Popブームの中、移籍前の音源に加えてMOON RECORDS移籍後の作品が5年ほど前より注目され始めました。
本作品「CHAPTER 2 BEST SELECTION」はMOON RECORDSのオフィシャルでリリースした唯一のベスト盤で、リリースした3枚のアルバム『コミュニケーション』『純』『ヤガマニア』より10曲を厳選。プロデュースは3作品ともにジョン・スタンレーによるもの。
Information
This is a reissue of the best-of compilation originally released in 1987, featuring exclusively selected Warner-era tracks by Junko Yagami.
As the only official compilation album released by MOON RECORDS, it contains ten carefully curated tracks from her three albums: COMMUNICATION, JUN, and YAGAMANIA. All three original albums, as well as this collection, were produced by John Stanley.
