ギタリスト、音楽プロデューサー。
1981年慶応大学在学中にセルフプロデュースによるソロ・デビューアルバムを発表。その後1996年にスタートしたTBS系ドキュメンタリー番組「世界遺産」にテーマ曲「The Song of Life」を提供、大ヒットオムニバスアルバム「image」にも収録され、自身の代表曲となる。他、フジテレビ系「フジサンケイクラシック」ゴルフ中継テーマ曲「Let me go」をはじめとする数多くの名曲をリリース。現在までにソロアルバムを15枚、また、学生時代からの朋友 神保彰（ds）、和泉宏隆（key）とのユニット「PYRAMID」によるアルバムを5枚発表している。
アレンジャー、プロデューサーとしても松田聖子、吉田拓郎、葉加瀬太郎、CHARA、宮本笑里、宮本文昭、伊東たけし、小松亮太、WeiWei Wuu等、幅広いジャンルのアーティストを数多く手掛ける一方で、アニメーション「ストリートファイターII MOVIE」「鋼鉄三国志」、ゲーム「幻想水滸伝V」、映画「神様のパズル」「クヌート」等のサウンドトラックも担当。 2014年には自身のレーベル「Super Paw」を設立。精力的にその活動の幅を広げている。

Artist Profile
Yuji Toriyama(guitarist, producer)・・・born in 1959. He made his record debut in 1981. It was released when he was a student at Keio University and the album received a very good review. He has released 15 albums total under his name.
In 1996 he composed "The Song of Life" for the TV program called "World Heritage" and it becomes one of his most prominent compositions.
He formed a unit called PYRAMID with Akira Jimbo(ds) and Hirotaka Izumi(key) and released 5 albums.
He worked as an arranger and producer for established artists such as Seiko Matsuda, Takuro Yoshida, Taro Hakase, CHARA, Emiri Miyamoto, Takeshi Ito, Ryota Komatsu, WeiWei Wuu and more.
He also composed for animation films, game music and motion pictures.
In 2014, he started his own label called “Super Paw”.
He has been very active and still widens his work.

Outstanding guitarist, Yuji Toriyama has produced and arranged a lot of hits in Japan. This is his 3rd album released in 1983. You can see how great he was already in his early twenties. Now this album has begun to attract overseas music fans.
