かぐや姫の伊勢正三、猫の大久保一久のデュオ。1975年、かぐや姫解散コンサート中に結成され、同年2月5日「22才の別れ」でデビュー。「22才の別れ」はオリコン・シングル・チャート4週連続1位を記録した。1975年6月5日「ファーストアルバム」を発売。1977、1978年には初の海外レコーディングを行い、シティーポップ史に残る名作「海風」「Moony Night」を発表した。活動期間内にシングル6枚、オリジナル・アルバム5枚を発表。

Kaze is a duo of Ise Shozo from Kaguyahime and Okubo Kazuhisa from Neko, formed in 1975 during the Kaguyahime Farewell Concert.
In the same year, the duo made a debut on February 5th with the single 22-sai no Wakare, which spent four consecutive weeks at No.1 on the Oricon Singles Chart.
Their first album was released on June 5th, 1975. In 1977, they recorded their 4th album overseas for the first time.
The two albums recorded overseas: Umikaze (1977) and Moony Night (1978) have become classics in the history of city pop.
During their career, they released six singles and five original albums.

伊勢正三、大久保一久が1975年に結成した風が、初の海外（ＬＡ）レコーディングにより完成させた4ｔｈオリジナルアルバム「海風」を、180g重量盤として限定復刻発売。レコーディングにはR.A.Martin,Geffrey Halesらの現地のミュージシャンと日本から水谷公生、佐藤準、武部秀明、森谷順らが参加。メンバー間の良好な関係によるリラックスした雰囲気のなか西海岸サウンドを手にしたこのアルバムは、フュージョン／クロスオーバーといった当時の最先端を吸収した傑作となった。
イントロのギターリフが印象的な「海風」ほか全11曲を収録。1977年作品。国内販売はインターネットサイト・クラウン徳間ミュージックショップのみの取り扱いになります。

Umikaze
The album has come back in a special 180-gram vinyl edition and is now on sale!
Ise Shozo and Okubo Kazuhisa formed the folk duo Kaze in 1975 and recorded their 4th original album Umikaze in LA.
It was their first recording overseas. Local musicians such as R.A.Martin and Geffrey Hales participated in the recording, as well as Mizutani Kimio, Sato Jun, Takebe Hideaki, Moriya Jun, and others from Japan.
In the relaxed atmosphere with a good rapport between the members, the album adopted the California sound.
It became a masterpiece reflecting the newest trends in music, such as fusion and crossover.
Originally released in 1977, the album consists of 11 tracks including Umikaze with its beautiful intro riff.
